NOTE: It is a condition of entry that the Drivers Registration form is completed
and handed in prior to the Drivers first series race of the season. If the driver
changes cars or teams during the season, it is his responsibility to re-register.
It is also the responsibility of the teams/driver to fill out a sponsorship
registration card upon sign in.
These cards will be used for the announcement and publication of sponsors
throughout the season. If there is a change in sponsorship, it is the teams/drivers
responsibility to make the necessary changes.
Half of entry fees will be used for Arkansas Motorsport Professionals,
supplementing the points, fund, payment of officials and administrative costs.
After Sign in:
Race Format
Drivers will draw for heat race line-up position at time of
registration. The number of heat races run will be determined by the
number of entries. Drivers will earn finishing points for their
position at race's end and passing points (1 1/2 per car) for each car passed.
The driver will receive points only for cars passed that take the
green flag. A car that fails to start the race will not be considered
passed.
The total of these two points will be used to determine qualifying for
the Feature Race. The top 14 in passing points will qualify for the
Feature race. The balance of the field will line up in one or two
(depending on the number of entries) conciliation races that will
transfer 4 cars to the feature to make a field of 18 and two
provisional starters. AMP will start 20 cars unless otherwise stated/posted at

simply poor finishes. All driver's final points will be based on the bases of all
the AMP scheduled events (including co-sanctioned) - (minus) lowest two (2) points
nights.
5. On nights that we are co-sanctioned, AMP drivers that sign in as AMP competitors
will be award points in reference to only AMP competitors for that night. (Ex. We
have drivers finish 1st-3rd-4th-7th-10th in the event, they will receive points for
the 1st five positions for the evening. This will not affect the pay scale for the
event.) Another example would be: In the event that we have only 10 AMP competitor
qualifies for the event, 11th place points would go to the first non-qualifier and so
on. If 2 drivers have the same non-qualifying position in a 'B' Feature the high
position would be awarded to the driver in the earlier 'B' Feature. Again, minimum
points received for any night with driver signed as AMP Competitor in will be 13
points.
6. ALL drivers competing in ALL AMP Sanctioned and co-sanctioned events will be
awarded $500 Bonus at the 2008 AMP Series Banquet.
Feature Race:
AMP will start 20 cars unless other wise stated/ posted at tracks.

Standard flagging procedures will be used for each event. If, for any reason, the
race is run one lap short or long, the race is officially over when the checkered
flag falls.
Starts and restarts:
1. Once the Field has been sent away from the grid, after driver introductions,
warm-up laps at racing speed without officials approval will be considered a
penalty, and the offending driver or drivers will start the race from the rear.
Sufficient laps to warm up engines, transmissions and tires will be given.
2. Designated starting area will be determined by track rules. It is the
responsibility of outside from row starter to stay even with inside front row
starter. Inside front row (pole car) sets the pace and must be reasonable and
consistent.
3. Any driver or drivers jumping original start will be warned for first offense.
Second offense you will go tail back.
Heats, B-Main or Features
1. A cone or markings will be placed on the track to display the designated
starting point.
2. After the "one lap to go" signal has been given, the field must maintain an
orderly, controlled pace around to the cone, with the front row running side by
side. The pole-sitter will set the pace going into turn three and maintain that
pace going to the line. It is the responsibility of the outside pole to keep his
car even with the pole-sitter. Provided that the line up is good, the race will be
started at some point between the designated starting point and the flag stand.
3. In the event of a caution, before the first lap is complete, due to a multi car
accident, the field will be lined-up for a complete re-start in the original grid
order, provided there are no penalties to be assessed.
4. Any driver, who comes to a stop during the first lap, will be put to the rear
before the race is re-started.
5. Any driver who spins out unassisted on the initial start will be put to the rear
before the race is restarted.
6. Tracks may use single file or double file restarts - track conditions
permitting. Restarts will be made using the cone.
7. There will be a designated starting point, and there will be no passing before
this point. Any driver, who passes before the point, hits the cone, or, goes below
the cone will be put to the rear; a second offense will result in the offending
driver losing positions in the finishing order according to the discretion of the
series directors.
In the case of persistent jumping by the same driver or drivers,
the black flag may be used as an alternative form of control.
Any driver in the feature, who is unable to start, will lose his position to an
alternate. Alternate drivers will be notified of their positions, and if you are
not ready to go, it is fairly certain that the alternates will be. Once an
alternate has been called forward to take your position, you may not re-claim that
position.
No alternates will be allowed to start after the field has pulled away from the
starting grid.
In the event that a driver is unable to take up his assigned grid position, the
following cars will be moved forward to fill that position; the grid will not be
crossed and re-aligned. Alternates will join on at the back of the Field, and not
in the empty positions.
Code of conduct and caution procedures:
'There is no arguing with track or series officials on the track, you will be black
flagged and sent to your pit'
'If you stop on the track, you will be asked to go to the rear of the field'
'If you plow through someone to keep from stopping, you will be black flagged'
All drivers will be in full race gear. This includes hot laps.
All cars will report to the track staging area within 5 minutes of being notified.
Any car exiting the track prior to the green flag will be forced to start tailback
of his/her respective race when they return to the track.
When the front row of cars reaches the white line (in turn 4), the start will be
official upon the flagman signaling with the green flag. The pole car will set the
pace, which shall be consistent with track conditions and as required to keep the
field in nose to tail formation. If you are out of line, the yellow flag will wave
and you will be put on the rear. The race is officially over when the checkered,
unless the track is completely blocked and/or incase of fire. In this case, the
race will be paid from the last completed lap. If the leader has taken the white
flag and has a clear path to the checkered, the checkered will be thrown. If not, a
yellow will be thrown and cars lined up (minus the cars in the yellow) as we will
go green/white/checkered. If a yellow has to be thrown during this restart, the
race will be and paid from the last completed lap (minus the cars in the
yellow/red).
Red and Yellow light on together (or flags) mean a complete restart.
Red - All cars must stop immediately or as race and track condition allow. Failure
to do so may result in being black-flagged by the event flagman.
Two unassisted cautions brought out by the same car will be sent to the pits for
the remainder of that race.
When the front roll of cars reach the white line (in turn 4), the start will be
official upon the flagman signaling the start of the race with the green flag.
The pole car will set the pace, which shall be consistent with the track conditions
and as required to keep the field in nose to tail formation.
If you are out of line, the yellow flag will wave and you will be placed on the
rear of the field.
The only flag to follow the white is the checkered, unless the track is completely
blocked and or in case of fire. In this case, the race will be paid from the last
completed lap.
If the leader has taken the white flag and a accident or fire happens on the track,
the flagman will determines if it's safe to complete the race. If not, the flagman
will be thrown the yellow flag and the cars will be lined up (minus the cars
causing the yellow) and the flagman will restart the race with
green/white/checkered.
If a yellow has to be thrown during this restart, the race will be over and paid
from the last completed lap (minus the cars in the yellow/red).
The race is officially over when the checkered flag is thrown.
The cars that were previously behind the car that went into the pits will be moved
forward to fill that position; the grid will not be crossed and re-aligned.
In the event of a caution, since there will be no racing back to the yellow flag,
the field will line up for re-start in the order of the last completed green flag
lap.
Note: In order to retain position, a car must have been in that position for one
complete green flag to green flag lap, including lapped cars.
Lapped cars will be placed behind lead lap cars at the rear of their respective
lap.
Any member of any team who works on the car, during a caution or red flag, while
the car is still on the track, will be judged to have made a pit stop, and will be
sent to the rear.
Only track officials may work on cars on the track, and if the officials are unable
to fix a problem, they may send the car to the pits. This rule also applies in the
event of an accident.
Do not get out of your car, you will be black flagged for the remainder of the
race.
Fighting or arguing with competitor or official:
Fighting or arguing with a competitor or official could cause you to load and leave the visiting track &could
cause you to loose all accumulated points and money for that event and or a fine will be assessed of

this series is a professional sport and we must conduct our self as such. This includes pit crew.

responsible. This includes yelling from one pit area to another and causing a public disturbance.
Please remember, if a driver crashes with you or alone, chances are: they were not looking to race’ just to
cost damage expense to fix their own car or make you spend money due to an on track incident.
Penalties:
Black Flag - means that you have been sent to the pits and will take no further
part in the current race, whether it is a heat, b-main or feature. Your car will
not be scored from the black flag time onwards.
On track penalties:
The following penalties will be applied after normal caution procedures have been
followed, unless special circumstances apply:
1. Under green flag or caution flag conditions, the race director reserves the
right to invoke penalties or suspensions of any driver whose actions is deemed to
be over aggressive, or fall into the category of "rough driving".
2. Drivers will be notified of any penalties that have been levied by the race
director. All decisions shall be final.
Note: This rule is not intended to eliminate competition or accidental contact - it
is, however, intended that deliberate contact and/or over-driving will be
penalized.
Note: At all events, a maximum of three courtesy laps will be given for a flat
tire, ( In b-main- and feature events only). If you leave the track for a flat tire
you will come back to the track and fall in on tail back. If a car is black-
flagged, car will not be scored from that point on.

disqualification.

posted in the pits, as will line-ups. It is your responsibility to adjust your
workload accordingly and be ready when called.

maximum of 5 minutes to be in position, either on the grid or in the staging area,
for your scheduled event. During heat races, you must be in the staging area before
the end of the previous heat.
At feature time, will begin at the end of the 5 minute time period - if you are not
in position by the required time during the program, you will start from the rear.
It should also be noted that cars must be presented for tech inspection when
requested to do so by the tech inspector.
Delays in getting tech inspection completed or refusal to unload in a timely manner
will result in offending drivers being denied hot laps.
Rain Delay:
In a rain delay situation the race director/track promoter reserves the right to
amend the racing format in the interest of time restraints and scheduling
conflicts. The format changes will be made with the fans and drivers best interest
in mind, and changes will only be made if an event is in jeopardy of being lost due
to rescheduling availability, a time curfew, or inclement weather. Under these
circumstances the amount of laps for qualifying, heats, and main event may be
shortened.
A feature race is considered complete when 50% or more of the laps are scored in
the event of weather or rare instances.
